In 2018, Mission Montessori founded the Legacy Scholarship Fund for low-income families with special preference to first generation Americans, non-English speakers, and members of Chattanooga’s East Lake community where our school was founded. For the past six years, the Legacy Program has served 50 students who have successfully transitioned into public schooling.
Montessori education has historically been only accessible to those who can afford it. However, a recent study has shown that the Montessori educational method helps close the learning gap between children of different socio-economic backgrounds.
Our Legacy Program provides sliding scale tuition so children from all backgrounds can receive quality early education that engages the whole child, nurtures their independence and cultivates confidence with respect.
